While you are here, you may be seen by a hospitalist, who heads your health care team. Hospitalists are specially trained to care for patients in the hospital. Our excellent doctors go through a rigorous selection process. If you are seen by a hospitalist, he/she will keep your primary care doctor informed of your treatment, and your primary care doctor will handle any follow-up care after you leave the hospital.
